Drive a little slower through Forza Horizon 6's Japan and you'll start noticing odd little figures tucked beside roads, shops, shrines, car parks, and viewpoints. Those are Mascots, and they're one of the more relaxed collectibles in the game. They don't ask you to beat a rival or nail a perfect drift. You just find them, line up the car, and smash through. Each one adds to your collection progress, helps with Stamp Levels, and can push you toward rewards such as cars, cosmetics, and FH6 Credits while giving you a good excuse to poke around places you'd normally blast past at 180 mph.
How Mascots Work
Mascots are simple by design, which is part of their charm. They're placed around the open world as small themed objects, usually bright enough to catch your eye if you're paying attention. Once you hit one with your car, it's collected. No menu juggling, no extra challenge, no need to get out and inspect anything. The game keeps track of what you've found, so you can keep hunting without worrying too much about the admin side of it.
What You'll Be Looking For
The Mascot set leans heavily into Japanese food and culture, so expect designs based on things like Omurice, Dango, Onigiri, and Ramen. The Omurice Mascot is hard to miss thanks to its bold food-stall look, while the Onigiri version stands out because of that familiar triangular shape. Dango Mascots feel right at home near festival-style spots or quieter cultural areas. Ramen ones tend to suit busier streets and commercial districts. There are nine Mascot types in total, so don't assume you're nearly done just because you've seen the first few designs.
Where To Search First
A good Mascot run starts by ignoring the fastest route. Take the side road. Cut through the village. Roll past the shrine entrance instead of fast travelling away. These collectibles are often placed where the map has a bit of character, not always where the next race marker sits. Cities are worth checking, but so are mountain roads, coastal bends, parking areas, bridges, lookout points, and small clusters of buildings. If an area looks hand-built rather than empty space, there's a fair chance something useful is nearby.
Smart Hunting Habits
Don't hunt at full throttle all the time. It sounds obvious, but it matters. Mascots are much easier to spot when you're cruising at a sensible speed, especially in dense streets or wooded areas. Fast travel helps once you've unlocked enough points, but it's best used to jump between regions rather than skip the actual searching. You'll also find plenty of Mascots naturally while doing PR stunts, photo tasks, story chapters, and seasonal events, so it pays to keep your eyes open even when you're not officially collectible hunting.
Final Thoughts
Mascots give Forza Horizon 6 a nice change of pace. They're quick to collect, fun to spot, and they push you into parts of Japan that might otherwise stay untouched on your map. If you care about completion, Stamp Levels, or building up extra rewards alongside races, they're well worth chasing. They can also support your progress with useful bonuses tied to Forza Horizon 6 Credits, garage growth, and general exploration, so treating Mascot hunting as a regular part of your drive is never a bad idea.
